The Fits of Fashion Week Pt. 1

For those who have been following my Instagram you will know that for the past week I have been up in New York City for the FW'17 season of NYFWM. This has easily been my most exciting season yet (especially because it was only my second one). The energy was clearly there from day 1 and it never quite left. And while i initially planned on condensing my trip into a single post by the end of day 2 i had so much content i knew there was absolutely no way that i could fit all that into just one. So I decided to split it in two, the first post covering my outfits from each day. And the second to cover the different shows I was able to attend (minus the Joseph Abboud show because sadly the lighting in there was god awful, but trust me, the collection was sick!).

 Day 1

Day 1

The first day was all about layering, this was the only day that I actually threw together a full suit. My shaded check suit paired nicely with the dark brown wingtips and matching OTAA knitted tie, and of course a staple white button up. Then finished the look off with a camel overcoat draped over the shoulders.

 Day 2

Day 2

The second day saw the continuation of layers on layers, and this time for good reason! An unexpected snow flurry spiced up the events through the day and made for some insane outfit shots! (Fun fact, i actually put this entire outfit together last minute with some jeans i brought just in case and a perfectly fitting Zara blazer I had picked up the day before).

 Day 3

Day 3

The third and final day of shows consisted of a more laid back look, sporting a turtleneck, chinos, Chelsea boots, and my hounds tooth overcoat. The perfect outfit for a slightly warmer day compared to the previous two.

 Day 4

Day 4

And for the fourth and final day in NYC i caught up with a friend of mine and didn't plan on catching any more shows so jeans and a sneakers it was! Ripped black denim, adidas superstars, Topman turtleneck, and my levi's denim jacket, paired with a houndstooth scarf was the perfect way to end this trip.
