My Top Six Watches For Any Occasion

This week I've decided to talk about something any guy should take into consideration, what watch should i wear for what? weather its to a formal event, the office, or just out and about on the daily, almost any guy will look down at that fancy little timepiece on their wrist to keep themselves on track through the day. But which watch should you pick? Are there any rules regarding what watch to choose? And if so, when is it okay to break those rules? Today I'm going to dive into how i choose which watch i choose for what occasion, and my favorite watches I currently have in rotation. For anyone who has been following my Instagram you must have noticed that right now I am a huge fan of leather strap watches, as they make up about 90% of my collection, with a sold 60% of those being brown straps. For the sake of this post though I've tried to keep it even by featuring three brown strapped watches, two black strapped, and one metal band. My first pick (and quite possibly one of my overall favorites in my collection) is my Skagen (picture A) Holst Multifunction leather watch; with a dark brown leather strap and gold case. This watch is one of my go-to's for just about any occasion, with the leather strap keeping it versatile from formal to casual wear, and the gold case making the white dial stand out perfectly. My second choice (and also quite possibly one of my favorites) is my Fossil (picture B) chronograph brown leather band watch. Given to me as a gift by someone very close to me, this watch is just about as versatile as they come. Still keeping on track with the brown leather band, this watch stands out by switching out the gold case for a silver one making it completely versatile with absolutely any occasion (yes gentlemen, silver is more versatile than gold). My third brown strap choice is another Skagen (Picture C) the "Hagen" featuring a very bright brown strap (almost an orange) and is the least versatile of the three, but with its lighter texture and blue dial this watch is definitely captivating in its uniqueness

For my black strap choices, none other than my Earnshaw 1805 (picture D) "Darwin" took the first slot. This automatic timepiece is a lot more formal than my second choice. With its see through dial revealing the turning gears inside, black alligator leather strap, and white details around the center of the dial. This watch would easily be my first choice in any formal event. My second choice is my James McCabe (picture E) "Heritage" timepiece, with its more simple design, silver case (again gentlemen, more versatile), and alligator black leather strap. It would more easily fit into any casual or formal fit, verses its more detailed counterpart.

And of course this list would not be complete without at least one metal band watch. So i want with my favorite by Thomassabo (picture F) rose gold and silver "Rebel Spirit" timepiece from their new "Rebel at Heart" collection. There isnt much to say about the versatility of this watch. The simple but elegant design, with the main presence of silver makes this addition an easily parable watch to just about any outfit.
